Fr. Frank Pavone in Rochester
Priests for Life is a national organization that focuses on the evil of abortion, educating and advocating for the lives of unborn children. Founded by Fr. Frank Pavone, it now has other priests involved, who fan out across the country to educate priests and all the rest of us on how to effectively do pro-life work.
Rochester is fortunate to have a visit coming up from Fr. Frank. Need some encouragement? Want some energy? Then don’t miss this presentation.
He will be coming to Rochester on Saturday, November 7, to do a benefit for the Women’s Care Center that is on Lake Avenue. The event is at the Diplomat Party House on Lyell Ave. (5:00 PM Social Hour and 6:00 PM Dinner). Tickets are available now from the Women’s Care Center at 865-0360. Reserve your spot now.
There will be a bonus activity, a workshop/luncheon open only to priests and deacons, to address the specific issues they face. Although there is no charge for the luncheon, reservations are requested. Priests and deacons, please call the Women’s Care Center (865-0360).
We can all benefit from Fr. Pavone’s knowledge of how to approach the issue of abortion in a fashion that does not give needless insult or hurt, but at the same time is forthright, truthful, and healing. His message at the dinner will be of value to us all.
This is not the first time Fr. Pavone has been to Rochester to help the Women’s Care Center. The Center opened in 1990 as the Problem Pregnancy Help Center and Fr. Pavone visited in 2002.
Some of the founding members, Jim Murphy, Mary Jo Mauer and Lily Mae Wagner, are still working at the Center today – 20 years later.
So come to the dinner and do two things:
(1) Applaud the hard work of the founding pro-lifers, still supporting the Center, and supplemented by new members.
(2) Update your own skills by hearing Fr. Pavone’s message.
